Network Administrator

Overview

SDA Solutions LLC is looking for a motivated Network Administrator for a DoD Federal Customer, located in Quantico, Va. This is in direct support of a recently awarded 5 year network support contract effort. The Network Administrator is responsible for overseeing the organization’s networks to ensure proper maintenance and security. Their duties include working with other IT staff and company employees to identify network needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software and using employee/user feedback to isolate issues. The Network Admin will provide functions at an enterprise network level for a network that currently supports over 6500 users worldwide.

Responsibilities

The Network Administrator is responsible for a full range of hands on support to the federal customer user base. Support includes software, hardware, network administration, troubleshooting and mission network infrastructure support.

· Maintaining computer networks and systems including software, VPNs, routers and other physical hardware

· Installing and configuring network equipment such as CISCO Switches, CISCO Firewalls, Aruba Access Points, Fortigate Firewalls.

· Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks

· Communicating networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users

· Fixing software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems

Basic Qualifications

· Under general supervision, monitors and responds to hardware and software problems

· 2+ years of experience working in an enterprise IT network environment

· Highly responsive to customer requests.

· Knowledge of data centers and networking

· Knowledge of plan, install, configure and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN.

· Experience with CISCO, Fortinet, Aruba Networks.

· Solid analytical/cognitive skills to troubleshoot complex and technical problems

· Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality

· 2+ experience in Networking Infrastructure devices with configuration and maintenance

· Ensure a positive Customer Experience when dealing with all level of users

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

· A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field

· Experience using Fortinet appliances: ForitManager, Fortigate Firewalls 2000, 100 and 80E

· Experience with layer 2 and layer 3 networking technologies: VLANs, PVLANs

· Experience with VPN technologies: GRE, IPSEC, MPLS (layer 2 & 3)

· Experience with Aruba Networks WLAN, Controller and Clearpass

· Certification in relevant IT products/technologies CISCO, Fortigate

· Experience using ITSM Ticketing tools (e. g. BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems to manage and track incidents)

· Basic knowledge of ITIL, Service Desk metrics/SLA s, and mobile device support

Technical Writer

Overview

SDA Solutions LLC is looking for a motivated IT Technical Writer for a DoD Federal Customer, located in Quantico, Va. This is in direct support of a recently awarded 5 year network support contract effort. The IT Technical Writer is responsible for creating and writing various types of user documentation, including how-to guides, references, manuals, cheat-sheets, or instructions. He/She is responsible for assisting the Program Manager with creating and editing technical documents that pertain to an enterprise network. The IT Technical Writer will provide technical documentation support functions at an enterprise level for a network that currently supports over 6500 users worldwide.

Responsibilities

· Explain scientific and technical ideas in simple language.

· Write technical direction on product announcements, marketing brochures, advertisements, marketing specifications.

· Meet with customer representatives and vendors to gather technical specifications

· Study drawings, specifications, mockups, and product samples.

· Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals.

· Ensure technical verbiage is easy to understand by the layperson.

· Gather information on their subjects in libraries and on the web.

· Prepare charts, graphs, or forms to go along with rough drafts.

· Ensure fields flow in the correct sequence.

· Write clear and concise policies and procedures.

· Edit defense/Marine Corps publications.

· Create table of contents and cite sources.

· Submit copies to managers for feedback.

· Adjust copy as necessary and proofread for grammar and spelling.

· Follow a life cycle called document development life cycle.

· Release the document following final approval.

· Conduct online tutorials.

· Provide updates and different editions as necessary.

· Familiar with MS Sharepoint in a publication management environment

Unified Communications Specialist

Overview

SDA Solutions LLC is looking for a motivated Unified Communications (UC) Engineer for a DoD Federal Customer, located in Quantico, Va. This is in direct support of a recently awarded 5 year network support contract effort. The UC Engineer is responsible for overseeing the organization’s communications systems, to include voice, phone, video collaboration systems into a single system for internal/external use. Their duties include working with other IT staff and company employees to identify communications needs, overseeing the installation and integration of existing and new communications hardware/software, and using employee/user feedback to isolate issues. The UC Engineer will provide communications functions at an enterprise level for a network that currently supports over 6500 users worldwide.

Responsibilities

The UC Engineer will lead the technical delivery of projects, including design, configuration, and testing of technical solutions for enterprise UC voice communications. The UC Engineer will prepare detailed product designs and documentation, ensure all requirements are met, provide financial estimates for implementation and sustainment, and deliver implementation schedules with milestones for government review/approval. He/she will ensure designs comply with all applicable Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps interoperability/compatibility standards, current/future system plans, and (applicable) security requirements. The UC Engineer will help define security standard methodologies and develop innovative voice solutions specific to the needs of the government client.

Basic Qualifications

· Under general supervision, monitors and responds to UC hardware and software issues

· 4+ years of experience working in an enterprise UC network environment

· Knowledge of UC’s operating in support of a data center and an enterprise network

· Experience with multi-platform UC components required, such as Cisco

System Administrator

Overview

SDA Solutions LLC is looking for a motivated Systems Administrator (SysAdmin) for a DoD Federal Customer, located in Quantico, Va. This is in direct support of a recently awarded 5 year network support contract effort. The Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT systems to ensure proper maintenance and security. Their duties include performing Tier II functions, working with other IT staff and company employees to identify systems infrastructure needs, overseeing the installation of new hardware or software and using employee/user feedback to isolate issues. The Systems Admin will provide functions at an enterprise systems level for a network that currently supports over 6500 users worldwide.

Responsibilities

The SysAdmin is responsible for managing the software and hardware involved with running the federal customer’s computer network. Their duties include tracking network traffic and activity, installing and configuring software updates and performing database backups to restore and protect user information. The SysAdmin is responsible for a full range of hands on support to the federal customer user base. Support includes software, hardware, systems administration, troubleshooting and mission IT and systems infrastructure support.

· Provides on-site support to end users on a variety of issues.

· Responds to trouble tickets escalated from Tier I

· Successfully manages assigned tickets to closure

· Diagnoses and troubleshoots end user desktop application issues and provides appropriate solutions

· Follow-up with end users to provide status updates as per service level agreements (SLA’s)

· Support Tier III and engineering analysis initiatives when applicable

Required Experience/Qualifications

Must have Microsoft MCSA certification or higher
BA/BS or 6+ years’ of equivalent experience

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical or business-related field

· Certification in relevant IT products/technologies (Examples, CompTIA (A+, Network +, Server+ and Security+ CE) certifications and/or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP))

· Experience using ITSM Ticketing tools (e. g. BMC Remedy or similar ticketing systems to manage and track incidents)

· Experience managing users and mailboxes in Exchange and O365

· Basic knowledge of ITIL, Service Desk metrics/SLA s, and mobile device support

· Basic understanding of DNS and familiarity with tools such as nslookup and doing reverse lookups for troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, upgrade, and create new instances of MCRC SharePoint sites, instances, documentation, and workflows in accordance with MCRC, USMC, DoN, and DoD policies and guidelines.
Create/Update/Maintain Internal SOPs on a quarterly basis.
Integrate SharePoint websites with other MCRC tools and services s required, to include Active Directory, Skype for Business, Microsoft Exchange, Structured Query Language (SQL) Reporting Services, and DEOS or Office 365 capabilities when available.
Support MCRC’s portion of data center optimization by planning, monitoring, where appropriate designing, and implementing the transition of IT service capabilities to the locations/facilities best suited to support the recruiting force.

Cyber Security Analyst

Overview

SDA Solutions LLC, an IT consulting company, is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst for an important customer in Quantico, VA. We bring service excellence and professional commitment delivering quality service and execution to our Federal Government customers. We provide solutions in the areas of Information Assurance, Cyber Security, Artificial Intelligence, Software & Systems Engineering, Cloud & Managed Services and Network Engineering.

Responsibilities

Provides technical analysis for IA/CS support and integration efforts.
Performs analysis of DIACAP C&A and RMF A&A documentation.
Conduct regular ACAS vulnerability scans and report findings to the IAM and MCCOG Vulnerability Management Team (VMT).
Ensure compliancy reporting via OPDIRS is accurate and completed in a timely manner.
Maintain up-to-date data for MCRC systems in the DoD IT Portfolio Repository – DoN (DITPR-DON) for network information and the DoN Application and Database Management System (DADMS) for applications.
Respond, update and track all MCDs released by CIRT in relation to MCRC.
Create, update, manage, and track MCRC related RMF packages (as deemed essential to the MCRC mission) and associated artifacts in the Marine Corps Certification and Accreditation System Tool (MCCAST) pertaining to the RCEN and Advertising Information Technology system (AITS).Participate with and advise Government personnel in meetings to ensure the evaluation of hardware and software integration into the MCRC baseline and ensure successful execution of A&A processes.

Required Experience/Qualifications

Security+​
BA/BS or 6+ years’ of equivalent experience
Experience managing systems vulnerabilities and POA&M.
Experience developing C&A/A&A documentation.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

Experience supporting DoD/government customers
Solid interpersonal communication skills
Ability to prioritize and document tasks
Familiar with DISA STIGs and testing tools.
